The Ski Slope

The boys hit the road and travel to Downtown Music Gallery in Manhattan to chat with Steve Popkin and other members and friends of Dissipated Face, Steve's band from the 80's, which has recently begun performing again.  Grab a taste of the Popkinesque music scene that served as the core for the majority of the boys' off-summer hangs.

On Episode 10, the boys welcome one of their bunkmates, Dr. Larry M. Jacboson (a/k/a Jake), to the Slope.  Using his elephant-like memory, Jake shares the origins of the name "Mweh" and around sixty other things the boys had totally forgotten about, plus a few they still remember.

On Episode 9, the boys welcome their "CT" crew to discuss the goings-on at Swago during 1982 and 1983.  Unfortunately, as a result of some technical issues, the episode is cut short and only 1982 is discussed.  While this episode is short in length, it should whet your appetite for the full tale of what went down in 1983, which everyone looks forward to telling within the next two weeks.

On Episode 8, the boys welcome Swago's ultimate head counselor, Arnie Heller.  Arnie talks about getting to Swago, working with Dave on the Sociogram, the making of  "The Swago Story," and so much more.

On Episode 7, the boys are once again left to their own devices and discuss the Arctic Monkeys, Prime Minister Pete Nice, the proper protocol for picking up checks and holding elevator doors, the decline in the quality of air travel, road rage, and so much more.

On Episode 6, the boys are guest free, but go deep discussing Judaism, the Syrian situation, climate change, and the awesomeness of Mexican fast food prepared by the Chinese.

On Episode 5, the boys welcome Steve Popkin, who, with all due respect to the fictional Harold Hill, was, and still is, the Music Man for so many.  As a bonus, fellow L-8'er Eddie Morman Young stops by for a special cameo appearance and, despite not having a microphone, helps to make this podcast a very special one for the hosts.

On Episode 4, the boys welcome Krauss (no first name needed), who goes on to wax poetic about Swago, basketball, French kissing, and life in general.

A reverb-infused discussion of mayoral accomplishments digresses into an ode to Swago's version of Peter Frampton.

On Episode 3, the boys welcome one of the world's most renowned Swago historians, Ed Berk, to the slope.
